How Did You Pamper YOU today?!

Sometimes in life we forget that we are just as important as those around us we are always taking care of. You can’t expect your body to take care of you if you don’t take care of it. Pamper yourself weekly if not daily. Light some candles and run a very hot bath and sink in up to your chin in luxury. Also studies show that a hot bath can burn up to 200 calories per hour in the hot bath. That’s about as many calories as a half hour walk! It also clears up your mind of all those thoughts swirling thru your head. So go ahead and grab a book and some candles and hit the tub!

It goes beyond the calories though, you have to stop and take care of yourself inside and out. Sometimes we need to sit down with a friend over a cup of coffee and talk things out. Some people, like myself, go to see a counselor and talk about things that way. Its not a shame to see a professional for some metal health. Others, again like myself, need some gym therapy. You need to race to that imaginary finish line and sweat out those calories to get some clarity. Whatever it is that you need you should do it. Not just for yourself but for your friends, family, and coworkers. Don’t make that face you know you have thought about shoving that annoying loud coworker out the window a time or 10. Heck even that kid that wont clean their room gets under your skin. 

When was the last time you picked up that book on your nightstand and read a chapter or two? When was the last time you took a stroll through your favorite store just to see what is up in the latest fashions? How about a magazine you love? A hike in your favorite park or trail? Do something for YOU today.

Now don’t get me wrong, I am not saying neglect your family however your friends and coworkers are adults and can care for themselves for an hour or two whilst you do something for yourself. Just because they aren’t doing things the way you would do them doesn’t matter; don’t worry its hard for me too. We cannot live others lives we have to live our own. 

So now grab that book, take that bath, walk that department store, hike that trail, or whatever else gives you pleasure and relaxation and do YOU today!
